CNG TANK TESTING, PASSING & PLATE RENEWAL

It takes around 2 hours for the complete procedure (Testing, Certificate and Plate Renewal)

The new plate issued is valid for 3 years.

You can wait at our office till the testing procedure is completed. You can also get the CNG Tank removed and take the car away on petrol till the procedure is completed.

We will provide you with the Certificate of Testing and the new Plate. For updating your RC book, you will have to go the RTO Office.

Yes, you will get a new certificate and a new plate.

  1. Receipt of cylinder : Receipt of cylinders/consignment at our site.
  2. Degassing : Cylinders shall be depressurized by venting the gas in atmosphere
  3. De-valving & De-tubing : After ensuring that, entire cylinder is being empty,valve & connected tubing shall be dismentaled property.
  4. Internal & external cleaning: By using water & water jet cleaning,cylinders shall be cleaned internally,to remove foreign particles & also external cleaning shall be carried out to remove oily or muddy surface.
  5. Visual internal examination : Internal visual inspection shall be carried out to check rough patches ,pitting etc.
  6. Weighing : Tare weight shall be carried to check any weight loses (cylinder which loses in its tare weight by over 5 %, shall be rejected).
  7.  Hydrostatic Stretch Test : To check the expansion of cylinders,each cylinder shall be tested for Hydrostatic Strech Test by Jacket method only.
  8. Draining & Drying of cylinders : Cylinders shall be drained by removing water ,moisture content & foreign particles ,if any .Also drying of internal surface shall be carried out by hot air blower ,to ensure that no water/moisture residue remain inside the cylinders.
  9. UT THK/UFD : Taking THK of the cylinders on various point to confirm the loss THK is in correct & Ultrasonic Flaw Detection for any defect in the body of cylinders by UT Flow Detection Method.
  10. Shot blasting : External surface of cylinders shall be cleaned by wire brusing or shot blasting,if required.After external cleaning of cylinders,all cylinders shall be examined externally to check dents,pitting etc.
  11. Visual External Examination : Visual External Examination done for any defect in the outer body of the cylinder.
  12. Stamping : Punching of required data/details along with our logo,month & year of next re-test date to be done on neck profile of cylinders.
  13. Painting : Repairing of cylinders as per code IS:4379 & CCOE guidelines.
  14. Tagging & Valving : Next inspection date shall be punched on the Re- testing ring & to be mounted on the cylinder neck.Valve shall be tightened with torque of approx. 32 Kgf-m3 by using torque wrench.
  15. Pneumatic leak test : Pneumatic leak test shall be carried out to confirm the proper fitment to the valve ,to check leakage, if any.
  16. Certification (Final test report) : Issuing a certificate as per formats given in code IS 8451.
  17. Dispatch : Cylinder shall be ready for dispatch,after satisfctory examination,test.

CNG KIT INSTALLATION

Within city limits you will get a mileage of ₹ 2 per km, for a long distance drive you get a mileage of ₹ 1 – 1.50 per km.

Petrol costs around  ₹ 7 per km & CNG costs around 2 per km, there is around 5 saving per km on CNG fuel car as compared To Petrol fuel car.

There is absolutely no alteration required to be done in the original mechanism of the engine or wiring. It is totally fitted as an additional accessory in the vehicle.

As already mentioned, there is no alteration made in the original Petrol mechanism, hence there is no harm caused to the engine. It is just added as an additional fuel mode (Dual Mode) for economic travel.

  • Even petrol is a dry fuel, there is no lubrication in petrol.
  • There are only two differences between CNG and petrol. CNG autoignition is 540 c as against petrol which is 360 c. For eg. when exposed to open air Petrol takes vapour form and evaporates in a minute, where as CNG evaporates in a second.
  • The lubrication to the engine and mechanisms is the work done by engine oil. It has nothing to do with fuel. The fuel work is only to burned completely and boost energy to the vehicle which is 100% by the CNG. This is the reason that CNG is not harmful to the engine when added into dual mode with the petrol vehicle.
  • CNG is consumed (burned) 100% and does not emit foreign particles. (This is the reason why it is known as alternate fuel worldwide).
